1. Definitions
1.1 “The Practice” refers to Dr AW Rodewald and all associated staff, contractors, agents, and administrative personnel.
1.2 “Patient” refers to any individual who books, attends, or pays for services rendered by the Practice.
1.3 “Services” refers to OEUK medical examinations.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By booking an appointment, making payment, accessing this website, or attending a consultation, the Patient acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms, Conditions, and Privacy provisions.
If the Patient does not agree, the Patient must refrain from booking or using the Services.
3. Nature and Scope of Services
3.1 The Practice provides OEUK medical examinations in accordance with applicable Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) standards and professional medical guidelines.
3.2 The Services constitute a medical assessment and not a guarantee of certification, employment, deployment, or fitness for offshore work.
3.3 The determination of medical fitness and the issuance, deferral, or refusal of an OEUK medical certificate is based solely on the independent clinical judgment of Dr AW Rodewald.
3.4 Payment of fees does not entitle the Patient to certification.
4. Booking and Payment
4.1 Appointments must be booked via the Practice’s online scheduling system.
4.2 Payment is required in accordance with the Practice’s booking process.
4.3 The Practice reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments at its discretion.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
5.1 All fees paid are strictly non-refundable.
5.2 No refunds shall be granted in circumstances including but not limited to:

Failure to attend an appointment

Late arrival
-
Failure to provide required documentation
-
Failure to meet medical standards
-
Requirement for further specialist evaluation

Dissatisfaction with certification outcome
5.3 Any exception to this policy shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of the Practice.
6. Certification Outcome Disclaimer
6.1 The Practice makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee regarding:

The outcome of any medical assessment

The issuance of an OEUK medical certificate

Acceptance of certification by employers or offshore operators
-
Employment or deployment decisions
6.2 The Practice shall not be liable for:

Loss of employment

Loss of income
-
Travel or accommodation costs
-
Contract termination
-
Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from medical findings or certification decisions
6.3 The Patient acknowledges that certification decisions are medical determinations based on established standards and professional judgment.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, the Practice’s liability shall be limited to the fee paid for the Service in question.
7.2 The Practice shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or economic loss.
7.3 Nothing in this clause excludes liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
8. Patient Warranties and Indemnity
8.1 The Patient warrants that all medical information provided is complete, truthful, and accurate.
8.2 The Patient indemnifies and holds harmless the Practice from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:

False or incomplete disclosure

Misrepresentation of medical history

Use of certification for purposes beyond its intended scope
