Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) medical certification is a mandatory fitness assessment for individuals working in offshore oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. The examination ensures that workers are medically fit to operate in remote offshore environments where immediate specialist medical care may not be available.

Previously known as the OGUK medical, the OEUK medical remains the industry standard for offshore deployment, particularly for work in the UK and North Sea sectors.

Who Requires an OEUK Medical?

An OEUK medical is typically required for:

• Offshore drilling engineers

• Production technicians

• ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) technicians

• Marine engineers

• Wind turbine technicians

• Offshore contractors

What Does the Examination Include?

The assessment generally includes:

• Full medical history review

• Physical examination

• Vitals assessment, including Urinalysis

• Vision Screening

• Audiometry
• Spirometry
• Additional testing such as 5-Panel Drug Testing, Blood Group Testing and Chester-Step examination can be performed upon request.
